We enjoyed our visit to Isham's Farm this afternoon.  We learned a lot about the Maple Tree and how sap is taken from the tree to make maple syrup!

A Dr. Seuss Luncheon!

Today we celebrated Dr. Seuss!  We enjoyed the story;"Hop On Pop" which we watched thanks to AirServer.  We had yummy sandwiches from Martone's Market and fresh fruit.  We each received out own special Dr. Seuss Certificate and a special bag. 
We noticed that Dr. Seuss has a great imagination, he likes to rhyme, he is creative and he uses lots of punctuation!

This morning we conducted an experiment with water and flour.  The children discovered how a solid can become more liquid or a thicker, denser solid just by adding water.  We created scientific illustrations of what we noticed.  We are becoming awesome writers and scientists!

We have had a wonderful week sorting and noticing special attributes of many living and non living things!  We discovered that living things need water, food and sunlight to survive.  We had lots of fun creating our own categories this afternoon.  Some of our ideas were to sort our seeds by size, color and /or texture.
