September 25th

 What a wonderful day we are having in kindergarten. Today we explored 2 new plane line letters; m and n. We put numbers 0-10 in counting order too.

Today we bring home our clay world's. Another wonderful reminder to talk about ways we can care for the world. Look here to see photos from today.

September 24th

 Today we finished our explorer posters. We have hung them above our map of the world. We created our own book of The Very Hungry Caterpillar and enjoyed another beautiful story by National Geographic. 


It had beautiful photographs to help us try to think about what is possible in the world.  We discovered a lot of wonder on the pages.

September 22nd

 Today we are exploring leaves. Have you ever wondered how leaves get on the ground or what happens to leaves after they fall?  Today we watch Mystery Doug as he helps us explore these questions. Look here to watch.

We explored another great book by National Geographic Kids too! The book has real photographs with close-ups of special features of a tree.

 Thanks to Samantha for helping us explore what a Tidal Marsh is.  It was interesting to learn about the different species of plants and birds that live in a Tidal Marsh.

September 18th

 Today Mrs. Scott, the technology integrationist visited kindergarten. She helped us explore how important it is to pause and look up when we are outside and inside and having balance when we use technology is important.


We read a wonderful story; "I Am Enough." The story helps capture how important it is to care for one another and to be kind. The children created and colored things they like about themselves.

September 17th

 Today was a wonderful day in kindergarten. Mrs. Scott a digital technology integrationist visited us this morning. We learned how to be safe when online. Look here to see a video we watched about being safe.

We are using tennis balls to interact with our Smartboard too!




We created worlds out of playdough and model magic and we created our explorer posters too.

September 10th

 What a wonderful day in kindergarten. 

Today we painted the world and explored the Global Goals. We connected with Global Goal 3 because we are keeping each other safe by wearing a mask and keeping our distance.

We read a wonderful story called: 'ish". The story captures the spirit of not giving up and to support and encourage each other. We had fun creating our ishes!

We also explored using the iPads today too!  We are learning how to take photos and videos.

The Allen Brook Trail

 Hello Everyone!

Today the Explorer Team teachers walked the Allen Brook Trail. It was so beautiful and we found so many different species of plants. We are excited to take you on a walk there and to visit the Allen Brook to collect water samples to see what is in the water.
