February 19th


 Today we explored the walrus. We were able to see a live walrus thanks to explore.org

After the story we created a list of ideas we learned and noticed about the walrus. We each created an accordion book about what we learned.

Today we read a wonderful story about Sea Lions. The book we read is from PebbleGo. Remember you can access PebbleGo on your child's iPad and learn about many other animals throughout the world.

Today we created an accordion book with information about the Sea Lion.

 Today we celebrated the gift of friendship. The children came up with some ideas about what friendship is.

Friendship is:

caring, sharing, helping someone, believing in a friend, helping someone be happy, including others, inviting people to play, smiling, and having hope.

I knit kerchief's and scarves for the children. Enjoy!

 Today we created cards of kindness. Tomorrow we celebrate friendship and will do a card exchange.

Today we are exploring snow and what can happen to it when the temperature changes. We started to think about what is in the snow when it melts and to think about how this might impact the lakes, oceans, and even the land.

Today we read a wonderful story about how a gift can offer many opportunities for others. Be sure to ask your child about the magic box in the story.

Today I am being recognized as a Grosvenor Teacher Fellow.
