As you know we use Fundations as part of our literacy program in Kindergarten. Today we began using our magnetic tiles to spell CVC words! CVC words are words that have the following pattern; consonant, vowel, consonant. Lots of fun!

Pajama Day!

Outreach With The Flynn Theatre!
This afternoon we had a wonderful time watching, listening and acting out what we are going to see at the live performance of Knuffle Bunny on March 2nd. Tracey, our program teacher did a wonderful job. I have posted a couple of videos for you to see to get an idea of some of the enriching activities we experienced!

A Celebration of Friendship! Happy Valentine's Day!
What a wonderful celebration we had today! The children each shared what a friend does. Very special... Some responses were; friends make me smile, they help me, they listen to me when I need support, play together, have play dates, kind to each other and many more! Afterwards we opened our special boxes and cards. The snacks were yummy too! What fun to hear everyone saying thank you and I like..... Many thanks to all of you who made contributions of time, energy and other donations.

A Mathematical Quilt of Sea Creatures!
This quilt was created with the calendar pieces we used during our Number Corner Time! The children have a new pattern of animals each month which focuses on a mathematical pattern. Making Friendship Boxes!
This afternoon the children each created and designed their own Friendship Box! The boxes will keep all of our cards, notes and surprises for us until Monday when we get to see what awaits us!
