As part of our author study about Mo Willems we are reading lots of books where Gerald and Piggie are the characters.  Today we are finishing up finishing touches on our characters to share with everyone Friday morning.

Today we received our very own Junior Forest Ranger Badges from the forest ranger who we Skyped with in December.  We are all helping to take care of the forests in the USA by making less waste and visiting parks to enjoy the beauty and see animals in their natural habitat.

Today we celebrated play alongside others globally.  We had a great conversation about why play is important.  Here are some of our resins for why we play:
1. helps us with learning
2. playing outside helps your body grow strong
3. get to have fun
4. you get to have a chance to play with other people
5. You need to move around because if you don't your body won't do anything.
6. helps you think and learn
7. so you can have fun with it.
8. It's just fun.
9. learn some stuff
10. learn things that you didn't know before
11. if you are playing with blocks you might learn how to build a real building

We are so excited and thankful to have new Bee Bots in Kindergarten.  They are fun and easy to use.  We are exploring "how to" code.  They help us think mathematically and collaborate with each other.
