As part of a PBIS school celebration Einstein, our school mascot stopped by Kindergarten to let us know what a great job we are doing being safe, kind and responsible. We had our picture taken and gave him a high 5!
When we are kind we feel great inside and then others are also kind. The buzzes we get reminds us about what we are doing well. ABS is a wonderful place to be.
Welcome to our classroom blog! Our blog is like a journal, a never ending account and record of all the exciting adventures we experience in Kindergarten. We are an enthusiastic group of people who care about each other and the world. We hope you enjoy reading, listening and watching what we do!

Play
One of the things I enjoy most about Kindergarten is the play. Play is real, authentic and passionate. We play throughout the day. This afternoon a couple of students created lots of different structures using cups. The mathematical thinking was amazing as well as the collaboration about "how to" get their tower to stand without falling. This is where children can get at critical thinking and explore "how to" solve a problem collaboratively.
Later as we began cleaning up one of my students said, "Look Mrs. D." I just taped this plastic cup instead of throwing it away. We are being responsible because we are taking care of the world."

"How To" Leave A Comment: Kidblog
When leave leave comments we:
1. Post Kind Words
2. Jusitfy our comment. We know we are doing this when we use the word because. This connects with our mathematical thinking too!
3. Leave spaces in between our words.
4. Ask a question.
