Today we celebrated International Dot Day! We used GoogleHangout as a platform to connect with Ms. Katie's class in Richmond, Vermont. Her students read us the story, The Dot and we shared our artwork. Later we collaborated and created 1 dot of all our designs.
We read another great story by Peter Reynold's called: "Ish". We created our own "ishes" in kindergarten.
We have an older mathematician coming to Kindergarten to help us with our math thinking.
Today we did a show me what you know about shapes. We created designs and patterns using pattern shapes and we are working on structured math talk! See the photo below of what we do.
Look here to see photos of kindergarten from today! Someone even lost a tooth!
Welcome to our classroom blog! Our blog is like a journal, a never ending account and record of all the exciting adventures we experience in Kindergarten. We are an enthusiastic group of people who care about each other and the world. We hope you enjoy reading, listening and watching what we do!
