We learned a lot about what the heart does. It is a very large muscle in our body.

Some of us were exercising our hearts! It is good to exercise our hearts everyday!

What Kinds of Foods Are Healthy To Eat?

At this station we learned about what foods were the "right" foods to eat. Some foods are not so great for our hearts!

"Kindergarten Rocks Out"!

We all danced with the Tin Man to keep our hearts healthy!

The Wizard of Oz Visits Kindergarten!

Wow! We learned a lot today about how to keep our heart healthy! The Tin Man, Scarecrow, Dorthy and the Lion helped educate us about how are heart works, what blood vessels are, the importance of eating well and we even learned how to use a stethoscope!
Be sure to ask your child about what they learned. Lots of fun!

This afternoon in 4 Winds we learned all about sound. Wow! We did lots of different stations that showed us the different pitches that sound makes, how it travels and what sound can feel like! We called this a vibration. Enjoy!

Water, Water, Water!

Today we experimented with water and what happens when you add different substances! We discovered that sugar dissolves, but flour does not.
We also spoke a lot about the importance of having clean water and taking care of the water on our planet.

Scientific Observations!

Wow! Today we examined snowballs that changed! We discovered that the snowballs melted into water and then the water turned into ice! The children made unbelievable observations about how solids and liquids are formed as well as the importance that temperature can! Be sure to ask your child today about what we did!

Reading Startegies!

This morning we worked on using all the reading strategies we have learned in Kindergarten to figure out unknown words. Wow! The children did a great job. Your child will have a sheet in their Reading Pocket today with a list of the strategies we have learned. Please be sure to look at them with your child. The Snowy Day!

Today we read the Snowy Day. The children did many different math and literacy activities relating to the book. We created bar graphs that showed things we do and things that both Peter and I like to do, made a scene from the story using paper props and characters and then we wrote about something that was the same for us and our reading partner! Wow! We were busy!!!!

The 100th Day of School!

Wow! Today we shared our 100 day projects. The children were so creative! This afternoon we will count different groups of objects and sort our groups of objects into different number patterns. What fun!

Today during problem solving the children had to figure out how many pairs of boots we could make out of 14 boots! We had fun using are own boots to help us solve the problem!
