Exploring The World!
Today we continued with our exploration of the world and birds! Today we created 3 ways we could each help take care of the Earth. Later we thought deeply about our scientific question of the day...
Where do birds go in the rain?
We think...
Birds fly to a different continent.
They leave their nests to eat worms.
They get worms to feed their babies.
Birds fly out of the nest and stay on the ground to eat worms. The worms houses are flooded so it's a great time to get food.
They fly to a warm place when it rains.
Birds stay in their nest.
They fly to a desert to get warm.
Tree branches keep them dry.
They stay in their nests until it stops raining.

This morning we had a visitor. Ms. Julie from Americorps visited Kindergarten. She talked to us about the birds we have in our state and where to look for them. It was fun exploring birds with Mr. Deyo's class.

PebbleGo!

This morning Mr. Deyo and a couple of his students taught us about a new site where we can go and learn about the different kinds of birds, where they live in the world and even what their sound is when they speak.
The site is PebbleGo!
