Visitors From Thailand

This morning we had some students visit us from Thailand.  We were able to ask questions about their country and share how we have conversations with others in the world. It was fun to show our map that we painted and talk about why we have it.

@donorschoose Project: Whiteboard Table

Today our new whiteboard table arrived in Kindergarten.  We are so excited to have this new tool to help us with our learning.  This afternoon we explored number writing and creating equations.  The whiteboard table is great because if something does not MAKE SENSE (math habitat of mind) then we just change our thinking!

PT Challenge With Ms. Peggy

This afternoon Ms. Peggy visited Kindergarten.  We worked on movements and exercises that strengthen our bodies.  We explored yoga and some collaborative ball activities.
We learned....
1. Communication is important so your partner knows what to do.
2. Listening is important because it helps us understand what to do.
3. Working with others is fun.
4. When you don't know what to do you can watch or ask a friend for help.

We are exploring life under the water.  Our goal came from the Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Thinking about life under the water we are exploring the many different creatures and plants that use water as their habitat.  We created our own water habitats and highlighted animals we found interesting and reasons why we need to all care about life under the water.
Some Ideas We Have:
1. Life under the water is a habitat for many different animals.
2. Plants and animals need water to live.
3. We care about animals and want them to live.
4. Trash and garbage does not belong in the water.
6. People need to be careful about not dumping oil into the water.  Animals get hurt.
7. Care about all living things.
8. Everything matters.
