We are so lucky.  We have been using Googlehangout as a way to connect with older students at WCS.  They have been teaching us "how to" speak some Spanish words and phrases.  We have created a Spanish word wall in Kindergarten to help us practice all of the new language we are learning.

We are also creating our own books of Peru.  This is a fun way for us to read, write and share all the things we are learning about this beautiful country.

Today we created our very own passport.  We did this because we are getting ready to explore a new continent, South America.  As we explore this continent we thought it might be a fun way to practice what we would have to do if we really visited this beautiful place in person.

Miss Teen 2015 Visits Kindergarten

What Do You Do When You See An Injured Animal?
This afternoon Miss Teen 2015 Miss Sophia visited Kindergarten.  She showed us lots of slides about animals she has rescued and why.  We learned about what to do when we see an injured animal and who to call.  Look in your child's Friday folder for more information.

Read Across America!

Read Across America

Today we connected with a Kindergarten class in Wisconsin using Google Hangout.  We had an opportunity to share some special facts about our states.  We enjoyed our conversation and made lots of connections.  We are also listening to other stories this week read by teacher across the USA on Seesaw!
