Global Goal #15 Life On Land

Today we created illustrations that represent our feelings about #15 Global Goal: Life on Land. We really enjoy being outside in nature, exploring making connections and identifying patterns. As writers we are using details in our drawings which give meaning to our ideas.  The labels help to identify things in our drawings that are important to notice.

This morning we had a dental hygienist visit Kindergarten.  She spoke to us about the importance of eating healthy food to keep our mouths, body and teeth healthy. We practiced brushing teeth on our animal friends.  We also received our very own dental mask, gloves and tooth brushing kit!

Snowshoeing Fun!

This morning we enjoyed snowshoeing.  We checked on our class tree and found lots of mice tracks.  Some of the children made mathematical connections with things they found in nature.  Weeds were shaped like triangles, galls looked like spheres or circles.  Some of the children noticed that animals can make both straight and curvy lines.

What a wonderful afternoon we had today.  We enjoyed snowshoeing and looking for animal tracks.  We explored a new area outside of our classroom.  We noticed that when the snow is cold it makes a sound when you step on it.  Later we made winter bouquets out of natural things found in nature.
