A Wonderful Day of Learning: @vermontkkids123

Today we shared our Kidblog posts that we created about why we liked The Cat in The Hat by, Dr. Seuss.
We highlighted important facts that we learned about Grace Hopper who was the 'Queen of Code" and we made so many connections as readers and writers today.

We noticed that when we write and blog we:
1. leaves spaces between words
2. use punctuation
3. sound out words
4. we write from the left to the right
5. use capital letters
6. words match our pictures

Today we learned a new song about changing the world.  We also focused on Global Goal #3 this afternoon while we were outside. We spent some time walking on a trail to the stream to watch the water. We noticed that the water is loud when it rushes fast and it is quiet when it is still. We noticed that buds on trees are starting to grow. We are curious about what happens to the ground when it becomes muddy... Will the grass grow? How are holes made?

@vermontkkids123

Today in Kindergarten we explored coding with Bee-Bots and an App called; "Daisy The Dinosaur".  Coding helps us think about our learning. The children made lots of mathematical connections and noticed the patterns they were creating when we were coding.  We are learning new vocabulary also. Later we were able to create a Kidblog post about why we code.
