Today we learned about a fish called carp thanks to National Geographic.
Look here to see the video again about how a village in Japan is using carp and how it is helping their water system. Look here to see where the village of Harie is.
What do you notice about this fish?
Thanks to Dee Mulligan, a teacher in Hong Kong, for teaching us today about carp.
Today's Challenge: try creating your own scientific drawing of a carp. Then think about a water bird that might like to have a carp for a snack! Remember kiddle.co is a great place to research new learning. I look forward to seeing everyone's fish!
Bonus Challenge: Take a walk outside and see if you can find all of the things listed on the scavenger hunt sheet! Have fun being an explorer!
Welcome to our classroom blog! Our blog is like a journal, a never ending account and record of all the exciting adventures we experience in Kindergarten. We are an enthusiastic group of people who care about each other and the world. We hope you enjoy reading, listening and watching what we do!
