Today the challenge is to look outside where you live and find a tree to hug! Then see if you can reach your arms all the way around the trunk. Get some help and some string and measure the circumference. Then make a sketch of a tree. I tried hugging a tree in my yard.

Think about what the tree needs to survive? Is it a home to animals? What animals and other creatures might be found on or inside your tree?
You might even want to use the naturalist app to help you identify the tree you hug! One of our friends shares what she found for species using the app.
